These pearls, approximately 4 mm, are entirely composed of pure mother-of-pearl secreted by the pearl oyster itself. Unlike traditional pearls, they do not contain a nucleus, because it has been naturally rejected by the oyster, which gives them a unique authenticity and beauty.
